The Deadly Customs STANDOFF™ Back Panel Zip Extenders are designed to increase the versatility and carrying capacity of your plate carrier by creating additional space between the rear plate bag and your existing zip-on back panel.

Providing approximately 6 cm of additional stand-off, the STANDOFF™ system creates a dedicated space for carrying additional equipment, mounting MOLLE-compatible accessories or accommodating specialist tools, without sacrificing the functionality of your existing back panel.

Expand Your Storage Capabilities

Traditional zip-on back panels sit flush against the rear of a plate carrier, limiting the available space for additional equipment.

The STANDOFF™ system addresses this by positioning the back panel approximately 6 cm away from the carrier, creating a usable space between the two.

This additional space can accommodate equipment such as:

Bolt cutters and crowbars
Halligan tools and other breaching equipment
Sledgehammers and specialist tools
Additional MOLLE-mounted pouches
Cable management and other accessories

The system allows users to take advantage of existing MOLLE attachment points on the rear of their plate carrier while retaining the use of their zip-on back panel.

Integrated Laser-Cut MOLLE System

Unlike conventional zip extenders, the Deadly Customs STANDOFF™ Back Panel Zip Extenders features an integrated laser-cut MOLLE system running along the full length of each extender.

Each side incorporates nine MOLLE bars and eight additional mounting holes, providing further opportunities for attaching compatible accessories, routing cables and customising your equipment configuration.

The integrated mounting system allows additional pouches and accessories to be positioned along the sides of the extended back panel, making use of space that would otherwise remain unused.

Flexible Double-Layer Laminate Construction

Manufactured using two layers of genuine laminate material, the STANDOFF™ system provides a strong yet flexible construction designed to accommodate different loadout configurations.

The double-layer design conceals the sewn attachment points of the zip system, creating a clean, professional finish while maintaining the strength of the assembly.

Unlike rigid spacer systems, the flexible laminate construction allows the back panel to move naturally and be drawn closer to the plate carrier when required.

This flexibility also makes the system suitable for use alongside additional equipment retention systems and harness arrangements.

Crye JPC-Compatible Zip System

The STANDOFF™ system incorporates Crye JPC-compatible zips, allowing integration with the Deadly Customs ecosystem and other plate carriers and back panels utilising compatible zip systems.

Each extender features the corresponding male and female zip connections, allowing it to be installed between the plate carrier and existing zip-on back panel.

For plate carriers without integrated rear zips, the Deadly Customs STANDOFF™ Back Panel Zip Extenders system can also be purchased with the Deadly Customs Crye Zip Adapter Set.

These MOLLE-mounted adapters provide compatible zip attachment points on the rear of a plate carrier, allowing the STANDOFF™ extenders to be fitted without requiring factory-installed zips.

Please note: A compatible zip-on back panel is required. Compatibility with third-party equipment should be confirmed before purchasing.
